About Our Team

Our team name is team Derrek. We chose this as our team name because there is only one guy on our team.

My name is Danielle Glendenning and I am from Downingtown Pennsylvania. I am currently a freshman majoring in Event Management with a minor in sales. One day I hope to become a CEO of a private equity company or be a medical sales representative. I chose HPU because I loved the campus and it was one of few schools that offered even management as a major. I live in Wanek on the third floor. I hope to be in a sorority and play intramural tennis. If I could have any super power I would chose to be invisible. My favorite food is pizza, tacos, and cake.

Derek Lucas is freshman at HPU from Worcester Massachusetts. He is majoring in business administration because he would love to work on Wall Street one day. He chose HPU because he visited campus and loved it, which made it decide to apply early decision. He lives in Wanek on the third floor. If he could have any super power it would be to fly so he could go anywhere in the world. His favorite food is a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A.

Rebecca Finch is a freshman at HPU from Durham North Carolina. She is majoring in Event Management with a possible minor in strategic communication. Her dream job is to plan music festivals. Rebecca chose HPU because she wanted to stay close to home and it was one of the only schools that had event management as a major. She lives in U.C. 2 on the fourth floor. She wants to join the republican club on campus. In high school, Rebecca was a competitive swimmer. If she could have any super power it would be invisibility and her favorite food is chips and queso from Moe's.

Rya Hooks is a freshman at HPU from Atlanta Georgia. She is majoring in psychology with a minor in Spanish. She wants to be a clinical psychologist in a children's hospital and speak fluent Spanish. She came to HPU because she loved campus and applied early decision. She currently lives in U.C. 2 on the second floor. She used to play soccer when she was younger, but wants to join a sorority here at High Point. If Rya could have any super power it would be telepathy and her favorite food is tacos.

Gab Fatscher is a freshman at HPU from Long Island New York. She is majoring in exercise science with a minor in Spanish. She hopes to become an occupational therapist with a focus on helping people with mental disabilities. Gab chose High Point because it was the type of environment that will help her succeed. She loves the small class sizes and she always feels inspired to do her best. She lives in Wanek on the fourth floor. Gab wants to play intramural soccer. If she could have any super power it would be invisibility and her favorite food is steak.
